ACUD’s CEO Khaled Abbass, Sherine Nabil, Décor Execution Lead for the Egyptian Fan Zone; Menna Kotb, Events Organization Manager; and Ahmed El Wakkad, Chief Commercial Officer at Tazkarti and Essad Younis.
Sherine Nabil, the designer and executor of the Egyptian Fan Zone’s décor, revealed details about bringing the project to life, saying the goal from the very beginning was to create an unprecedented experience in Egypt that combined stunning visual design with professional organization, catering to visitors of all ages while reflecting the modern image of the New Capital.
Speaking on DMC’s Sahebat El Saada with TV host Essad Younis, Nabil said the team selected white, black, and red as the Egyptian Fan Zone’s visual identity, with every decorative element custom-designed specifically for the venue.
She added that around 380 people took part in the execution phase. The components were manufactured at workshops in the New Capital and United Media Services facilities, with production completed in 10 days and the entire site installed in just 14 days.
Meanwhile, Menna Kotb, Events Organization Manager, explained that the success of the Egyptian Fan Zone was the result of continuous coordination between all teams involved. She noted that every detail, from the music played throughout the venue to the entertainment activities in the gaming area, was carefully planned according to well-developed scenarios, with daily meetings held to evaluate performance and further enhance the visitor experience.
Ahmed El Wakkad, Chief Commercial Officer at Tazkarti, said the entire booking and entry process was handled through a fully digital platform without any human intervention. Visitors received their invitations directly on their mobile phones after registering online.
He added that, for the first time, the Egyptian state introduced a fully integrated digital system to facilitate fans’ transportation to the New Capital. Demand was exceptionally high, with tickets selling out quickly, while the Fan Zone welcomed around 30,000 supporters and reached full capacity as early as 6 a.m. on the day of the event.
